Lady Railsplitters Finish 16th In Greater Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, KY - The Lincoln Memorial University women's cross country team stepped up to the competition on Saturday afternoon when the Lady Railsplitters traveled to Louisville, Kentucky and finished 16th in the Greater Louisville Classic.
Many teams participated in the event which is considered to be one of the major events in the region. LMU's Fiona Reinecke paced the LMU women with a time of 21:06.75 to finish 46th in the 5k race. LMU's Amber Stoerp also placed inside the top-75 with a time of 21:26.98 to take 62nd place. Lady Railsplitter Ashley Thomas cross the finish line in 88th place in 22:01.85 while teammate Casey Poore narrowly missed finishing among the top-100 with a time of 22:37.30 for a 115th place finish. LMU's Caroline Chadwell 178th in 24:23.11.
The Lady Railsplitters now have until October 16th to prepare for the Trailblazer Invitational which will be held in Gray, Tennessee. Following that race, the LMU women will close out the regular season schedule by hosting the LMU Railsplitter Invitational on October 23rd before competing in the South Atlantic Conference Championship on November 6th in Wingate, North Carolina.
