Railsplitters Finish 25th At Greater Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, KY - The Young Lincoln Memorial University men's cross country team had it's hands full on Saturday afternoon when the Railsplitters competed in the Greater Louisville Classic held in Louisville, Kentucky. The LMU men finished 25th among the 29 teams participating in this year's event which is considered to be one of the biggest meets in the region.
Leading the Railsplitter charge was sophomore Derrick Lindsay. Lindsay finished the race in 24th place overall by crossing the finish line in 27:04.80. LMU's was the next highest in the finish for the Railsplitters but was back in the pack in 149th place with a time of 29:56.20 while teammate Winston Kelly crossed the line in 33:06.20 to take 218th place and Justin Patel placed 258th in 43:50.20.
The Railsplitters now have until October 16th to prepare for the Trailblazer Invitational which will be held in Gray, Tennessee. Following that race, the LMU men will close out the regular season schedule by hosting the LMU Railsplitter Invitational on October 23rd before competing in the South Atlantic Conference Championship on November 6th in Wingate, North Carolina.
