Wagner's free throws were after the officials called a Tornado foul at the opposite end of the floor in a battle for a rebound after a missed Tornado shot.
The game between the Lady Railsplitters and Brevard College was close throughout the entire contest, as the score was tied six times and there were 11 lead changes before the LMU women emerged with their third South Atlantic Conference win of the year to improve to 3-8 in conference and 9-13 overall.
Lady Railsplitter senior guard Kara Harris, Wagner and freshman point-guard Dayshalee Salaman all finished the game with top scoring honors. All three contributed 14 points each, with Salaman also handing out six assists and Wagner pulling six boards to help the LMU cause.
Brevard was paced by the play of Samantha Winn who scored 13 point to lead the Tornados on the night. Teammates Anna Schlobohm and Holli Flippo scored 12 and 11 points respectively en route to the Tornados eleventh loss in league play and their sixteenth overall.
The Lady Railsplitters now turn their attention to this Wednesday night's home game with conference opponent Mars Hill College while Brevard will play a home non-conference bout with opponent North Greenville University Wednesday evening. LMU tips-off at 6:00 p.m. on against the Lions while the Tornados and the Crusaders also get underway at 6:00 p.m.
