Lady Railsplitter Season Ends In SAC Quarterfinals

GREENEVILLE, TN -- The Lincoln Memorial University women's basketball team saw their season come to an end as they fell at #13 Tusculum 89-55 Wednesday evening in the quarterfinals of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament. The Lady Railsplitters end the 2008-09 campaign with a 11-17 record.
Tusculum, the top seed in the tournament, never trailed as the Pioneers rolled out to the early lead and held off all attempts by the Lady Railsplitters to make a comeback.
LMU was led by freshman Dayshalee Salaman (Carolina, Puerto Rico) with 15 points. Junior Cena Nasiloski (Hammond, IN) led the Lady Railsplitter in rebounding with seven. Seniors Sarah Harrison (Sneedville, TN) and Kara Harris (Alcoa, TN) each scored two points in the final game of their playing careers.
Tusculum was led by Stephany Neptune (Wallkill, NY) with 21 points and 24 rebounds. Kat Spears (Memphis, TN) added in 18 for the Pioneers.
The Lady Railsplitters will return to the court on October 15, the official start date of practice for the 2009-2010 season.
