Salaman Earns South Atlantic Conference All-Freshman Team Honors

HARROGATE, TN - Lincoln Memorial University point-guard Dayshalee Salaman (Carolina, Puerto Rico) has been named to the South Atlantic Conference All-Freshman Team by the head coaches throughout the conference. The announcement came Friday from the conference office in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Salaman, a product of LaSalle High School in Puerto Rico, was the second leading scorer on the Lady Railsplitter squad this season with 11.8 points per game, while handing out a team best 4.35 assists each night. Her assist average was also the fourth best in the South Atlantic Conference this season.

With the loss of only two seniors from this year's squad, Salaman will lead a host of returning personnel in 2009-10 in what is hoped to be the Lady Railsplitters next legitimate run at a conferene title. Including Salaman, the LMU women will return all four of their top scorers which each averaged more than 10 points per game.
