Cross Country Teams Open Season At Sewanee Invitational

SEWANEE, TN -- The Lincoln Memorial University cross-country teams opened the 2009 season by competing in the Sewanne Cross-Country Invitational Saturday morning.
Due to only running four runners per squad neither team was counted in the team totals.
On the women's side LMU was led by Sofia Lopez Mimendi, who finished in 54th place with a time of 7:01.7. Fiona Reinecke finished 64th with a 7:12.1 time and Ashley Thomas placed 82nd at 7:34.8.
The Railsplitter men were led by Derrick Lindsay, who placed 48th with a time of 5:49.2. Shane Curtsinger finished 78th at 6:05.1 and Reid Ailey ran a 6:09.4 time to place 86th. Andras Pauko finshed in 90th place with a time of 6:11.9.
Next up for the cross-country teams is the Fleet Feet/Earl Jacoby Invitational on September 12 in Huntsville, Alabama.
