Three Railsplitters Run In Trailblazer Invitational
October 18, 2009
GRAY, TN - Lincoln Memorial University men's cross country runners Derrick Lindsay (Talbott, TN), Reid Ailey (Jefferson City, TN) and Andras Pauko (Budapest, Hugary) ran and finished well in Saturday's Trailblazer Invitational 8K run held in Gray, Tennessee.
The Railsplitters only had three participants in the race and didn't qualify as a team as Head Coach Jeremy Donahue held several runners out due to healing injuries in preparation for next weekend's South Atlantic Conference Championships to be held in Hickory, North Carolina.
Lindsay finished highest among the Railsplitters running in the race and placed third overall with a time of 27:55.10. Ailey also placed inside the top-10 by coming in sixth in 29:14.14, while teammate Andras Pauko was fifteenth in 30:34.23.
On Saturday the Railsplitters hope to be at fully strength when they travel to Hickory for the conference championship. The race will be the first time the LMU men have had enough healthy runners to be elegible to qualify for a race title this season.
