Lady Railsplitters Fall 85-80 to UNC-Pembroke

MILLEDGEVILLE, GA - The Lincoln Memorial University women's basketball team fell to 2-8 Wednesday afternoon when it lost to the University of North Carolina-Pembroke 85-80 in the final game of the Georgia College & State University Holiday Classic.

The Lady Railsplitters eighth loss of the season comes less than 24 hours after losing a five-point heart-breaker to host team Georgia College & State University 75-70 and is the team's sixth consecutive loss.

LMU was led in scoring by Dayshalee Salaman (Carolina, Puerto Rico).  Salaman had 23 points while teammate Amberly O'Dell (Argos, IN) turned in a 22 point performance.  Junior forward Whitney Holmes (Oklahoma City, OK) led LMU on the glass with 11 boards. 

This Saturday the Lady Railsplitters travel to Wingate, North Carolina when they resume South Atlantic Conference play against the Bulldogs of Wingate University.  The Lady Railsplitters tip-off at 2:00 p.m. in their second conference game of the season.
