Seven Lincoln Memorial cross country and track and field student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams, the organization announced Wednesday.

Harper Russell and
Micah Sells earned the honor for the women's teams while
Spencer Baldwin and
Jacey Grabeel represent the men with acclimation, which required student-athletes to sport at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and participate in at least 50 percent of the team's contests that season, among other criteria.

Chellah, a senior biology major from Gray, Tenn., holds program records in the indoor 600m (1:41.39) and indoor and outdoor 800m (2:16.87 and 2:15.92, respectively), while being part of the record-setting indoor DMR (12:46.19) and 4x400m (4:02.77) relay units over her career.

Close, a senior psychology major out of Somerset, Pa., owns the indoor (5.02m) and outdoor (5.13m) school records in the long jump while also claiming the best marks in the 100m hurdles (14.89 seconds), pentathlon (2976 points) and heptathlon (3964 points).

Foster, a graduate student from Knoxville studying business, touts the best indoor Mile (4:59.60), 3000m (10:18.65) and 5000m (18:10.78) times in program history in addition to the best outdoor 3000m (10:39.17) and 5000m (17:53.49) marks. Additionally, she earned All-Region and First Team All-SAC honors during the 2022 cross country season.

Russell, a Rogersville, Tenn., native studying exercise science, owns the best 1000m time in program history (3:07.82) while being part of the record-setting DMR unit from January.

Sells, a senior exercise science major out of Lawrenceville, Ga., holds the 60m hurdles program record (9.16 seconds) and was recently awarded the South Atlantic Conference Postgraduate Minority Scholarship.

Baldwin, sophomore studying conservation biology from Lewisville, N.C., has contributed to program bests in the DMR (10:20.11) and 4x800m (8:11.53).

Grabeel, a senior finance major out of Ewing, Va., had his best 800m finish of the season at the Maryville Scots Invitational (2:24.13, 16
th).
