Freshman runner Kelly Brown (Pineville, Ky.) led the Lady Railsplitters to a fifth-place finish at the South Atlantic Conference Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday in Salisbury, N.C., as she completed the 5k race in 19:46.97 to earn All-SAC honorable mention laurels. She placed 17th out of 92 runners in the league title race, and she was one of three Lady Railsplitters to collect All-SAC honorable mention distinctions along with fellow freshmen Allie Vincent (Louisville, Ky.) and Katie Swindle (Lafeyette, Tenn.).
The Lady Railsplitters return to the course on Saturday, November 22, traveling to Montevallo, Ala. for the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional.
