As a department, our mission is to provide and implement holistic yet high-level sports performance training programs for each of our 25 competitive teams on campus. We are committed to fostering a culture of PASSION, DISCIPLINE, TOUGHNESS and LEADERSHIP. We believe in developing a well-rounded student-athlete that is prepared to perform at their very best on and off their playing surface.

Our department's training philosophy is simple…we firmly believe in doing what works and we stand true to the mantra of "Do No Harm". We believe in providing our sport coaches with a robust, durable, and healthy athlete. We accomplish this by designing scientifically backed and researched based programs that take training age, experience, injury history, sport, and position specific demands into consideration.Â

The Lincoln Memorial University Strength & Conditioning Department is located in B. Frank "Tex" Turner Arena and features a 2,500 square-foot training space that accommodates our 400+ student-athletes from all 25 varsity teams here at LMU.
The facility is equipped with an incredible assortment of equipment and technology from some of the top brands in the Strength & Conditioning industry. This provides our staff with the capability to deliver the most effective sports performance training possible.
