Lincoln Memorial University Athletics

The Lincoln Memorial men's and women's tennis teams turned in excellent performances over the weekend with the men's team upsetting 13th-ranked North Georgia and the women's team falling just short of an upset bid against 6th-ranked North Georgia. Marta Melnichenok and Ethan Hirons each went undefeated over the weekend en route to being named this week's Juice Spot Railsplitters of the Week.

Hirons went undefeated all weekend in singles and doubles. He played at No. 4 singles against Union College and won his match 6-1 6-4, and won his doubles match 6-2 at No.3 doubles. He won 6-0 in doubles against Johnson University. Against 13th ranked University of North Georgia, Hirons won 6-3 in doubles and won singles with a score of 7-5 3-6 7-5.
