Graduate student and MTSU transfer Stephanie Smith (La Vergne, Tenn.) led the Lady Railsplitters to a pair of South Atlantic Conference victories this past week, as she averaged 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds on 53.3 percent shooting. Smith kicked off the week by collecting 16 points and seven rebounds - with all but one rebound coming in the second half - in a 100-90 win over the visiting Mars Hill Lions. The La Vergne, Tenn. native went 8-for-11 from the field while adding two and two steals. Smith surpassed those numbers in Saturday's 52-41 win at Queens, tallying 19 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks in just 23 minutes of action. She went 8-for-17 in that contest.

Just four games into her one and only season in the Blue and Gray, Smith is seventh in the SAC in points per game (15.2) and third in rebounds per outing (9.5). She is third in the league in total field goals (28) and ninth in field goal percentage (50 percent).
