Guard Aisjah Lee (Louisville, Ky.) has been selected as Railsplitter of the Week after dazzling in back-to-back games this past week.
Â
Lee kicked off her week with the most impressive performance of her senior season, matching a career-high with 27 points, while grabbing eight rebounds, collecting six steals and handing out five assists in a narrow 84-85 loss at Mars Hill on Wednesday night. Lee never left the floor in that contest, finishing with a 10-for-16 mark from the field.
Â
The Louisville, Ky. native followed that up by scoring a game-high 17 points in a 77-57 throttling of the Catawba Indians on Saturday afternoon. Lee canned six of her 10 shot attempts while adding a pair of assists and steals in just 20 minutes of foul-plagued work.
Â
Lee has hit double figures in all but one game since the calendar turned to 2015, posting 20 points or more in three of the past five games. After a slow start to the season, she is averaging 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.4 steals per game.
