HARROGATE, Tenn. – Lincoln Memorial University senior center Chris Perry (Bartow, Fla.) helped power the No. 2 nationally-ranked Railsplitters (2-0) to pair of wins this past weekend at the SAC vs. Conference Carolinas Challenge and has been tabbed as the Holiday Tire Railsplitter of the Week for his efforts, it was announced on Tuesday.

Perry – a 6-8 transfer from the University of South Florida – led the Railsplitters in scoring and rebounding in Greeneville, Tenn. despite averaging just 24.5 minutes off the bench. In victories over King and Lees-McRae, Perry compiled per-game averages of 19.0 points and 8.0 rebounds while connecting on 13 of his 18 field-goal attempts (72.2 percent) and 12 of his 18 free-throw attempts.

In Friday night's 92-70 win over King, who won both the Conference Carolinas regular-season and tournament championships last season and made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, Perry scored a game-high 20 points and converted six of his eight shot attempts while wrangling in seven rebounds in 24 minutes of action. He also added a block and an assist in his debut for the Railsplitters.

The next day, in a 94-66 win over Lees-McRae, Perry poured in 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting while collecting nine rebounds and recording a pair of blocks. Perry scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half to help the Railsplitters outscore the Bobcats 54-36 over the final 20 minutes of regulation.

Perry and the Railsplitters return to action this weekend, heading to Evansville, Ind. and the Ford Center to compete in the first-annual Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. Lincoln Memorial will face Kentucky Wesleyan – winners of eight NCAA Division II National Championships – at 7 p.m. on Friday before turning around to play No. 5 nationally-ranked Alabama-Huntsville at 4:30 on Saturday.
