Senior forward Megan Pittman (Liberty, Ky.) ensured that the 11th-ranked Lincoln Memorial University women's basketball team would remain undefeated with a pair of solid performances this past week to earn Holiday Tire Railsplitter of the Week plaudits for December 20, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Pittman, who was tabbed as the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week on Monday, is the fourth consecutive women's basketball player to garner the Railsplitter of the Week award, as the Lady Railsplitters (11-0, 6-0 SAC) won twice last week to remain unbeaten. Lincoln Memorial is one of just 12 Division II teams without a loss yet this season.

Pittman kicked off her week by scoring 18 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in an 84-83 double-overtime win at Wingate on Wednesday night. The Liberty, Ky. native also contributed four assists, four blocks and two steals over 50 minutes of action.

On Saturday, Pittman piled up a team-leading 14 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes of work in a 79-53 evisceration of the Newberry Wolves at Tex Turner Arena. Pittman went 5-for-10 from the field, including a 2-for-3 effort from the arc.

Through 11 appearances this season, Pittman leads this Lady Railsplitters with 13.8 points per game on 43 percent shooting. In addition to that, the Coastal Carolina transfer has added 9.7 rebounds per game and amassed a team-high nine blocks to go along with 18 steals.

The Lady Railsplitters are off for the holidays, but return to action on Wednesday, January 4, when they welcome the Mars Hill Lions to Tex Turner Arena for a 6 p.m. SAC contest.
