Indoor Tennis Facility
The indoor tennis facility fulfills a longtime need for a place for the tennis teams to practice and compete whenever inclement weather in the Tri-State area prevents outdoor activities. It is one of the few on-campus indoor facilities in NCAA Division II and one of two in the region, with the other being at Lees-McRae College.
Construction began on the facility in 2014 and opened for the 2017-18 season. There are six courts for use and the entire building is heated.
The facility has bathrooms/changing areas on each end for both men and women, storage for team equipment, and office space for the coaching staff. The upper level on each end is designed to be a viewing gallery.
We offer clinics, social play, hitting, and private lessons open to the local community. The lessons are for children, teenagers and adults. Our coaching staff is PTR certified to teach at every level. We also offer stringing services. Â
We connect local players to USTA leagues in TN and host Junior and adult USTA tournaments. Please, contact the tennis coaching staff for more details about our community services.
