YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – In its first road test of 2020, the Lincoln Memorial University women's tennis team played as comfortable as at home, earning a 5-2 non-conference victory at Young Harris College Sunday afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex in Georgia.
The Lady Railsplitters claimed the doubles points and relied on the bottom of their lineup in singles to claim their third-straight triumph.
With the win, LMU improves to 6-1 on the season while the Mountain Lions drop to 5-3.

Julia Valls earned a 6-4 win at the top doubles spot as sophomore

Kiersten Waugh gained a forfeit win at third doubles due to Young Harris being short-handed. The Mountain Lions Ana Rodriguez and Juli Boerr handed sophomore

Kristin Vogel a 6-1 setback at No. 2 doubles.
In singles action, the Lady Railsplitters took a 2-0 lead thanks to a default at No. 6 singles and got a 6-2, 6-3 win from Waugh at No. 3 singles. Delisse suffered a 6-4, 6-0 loss at the top singles spot, making it a 3-1 affair but sophomore
Claudia Rodriguez captured a 6-3, 6-2 victory at fifth singles to secure the match for LMU.
After Young Harris' Carol Quevedo gutted out a win at No. 2 singles with a 10-4 triumph in the third-set super tiebreak, Dahlstrom finished things off with a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles.
