Eighty-Five LMU Student-Athletes Honored With Division II ADA Academic Achievement Awards

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A total of 85 Lincoln Memorial University student-athletes from 20 different Railsplitter athletic programs were recognized Thursday afternoon by the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) for their excellence in the classroom throughout the 2019-20 school year.
 
Student-athletes from LMU's baseball, women's basketball, men's bowling, women's bowling, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, men's and women's volleyball, and beach volleyball teams garnered D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards for the 2019-20 academic year. The breakdown by each sport is as follows:

In order for a student-athlete to receive a D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, the athletics director of the NCAA Division II institution must be a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA.
 
Additionally, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have completed a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
