MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Lincoln Memorial field hockey team fell to conference foe Mount Olive 11-0 on Wednesday afternoon at the Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex. The Railsplitters (0-8, 0-6 South Atlantic Conference) got 18 saves from goalkeeper
Keegan Gillman, but that wasn't enough to stop the league-leading Trojans (6-3, 6-0 SAC).
Mount Olive scored multiple goals in each quarter, led by Nikki Bos who put three in the back of the net. Eight other Trojans scored one goal each throughout the match.
The Railsplitters were outshot 46-to-1, while the Trojans led the penalty corner chances 25-0.
Notable
Katherine Brislin got off the only shot for Lincoln Memorial, and Gillman upped her season total to 31 saves in her second match in goal of the season.
