@LMUFieldHockey Earns First Win in Program History Against Sewanee

Sewanee, TN

The Lady Railspitters traveled to face the Sewanee Tigers and are traveling back VICTORIOUS as they earned their first win in program history with a score of 4-1.

The Lady Railsplitters started with allowing a Tiger goal seven minutes into the first quarter, but that is the only goal they would allow the Tigers to have.  Railsplitters Katherine Brislin and Samantha Billingsley both had shots for LMU trying to get them on the board.  Olivia Rosini would then get herself her first goal in program's history and get the Railsplitters on the board making it 1-1 before the end of the quarter and going into halftime with a tie.

In the third quarter, Anella Rossi, and Katherine Brislin both were quick to get shots off and continue to give LMU a chance to get ahead.  Goalkeeper Keegan Gillman kept the Tigers out of the scoring zone, not letting them have a chance at a goal.  At the end of the quarter, Olivia Rosini would get another goal making it her second of the year and getting the Railsplitters up by one going into the fourth quarter.

Four minutes into the fourth, Anella Rossi would get her first goal of the year, and then get her second just a few minutes later.  Making the final score of the game 4-1 in favor of the Railsplitters.
