NEWBERRY, S.C. –
The Lincoln Memorial men's wrestling team took two pins in the first three matches to lead 12-5 in the team score early, but Newberry won the dual 43-12 on Wednesday night in Eleazer Arena.
 
Porter Finstad won his second match in a row for the Railsplitters, securing a fall in the third period (6:11) over Newberry's Fletcher Swindell in the 125-pound weight class.
 
After the Wolves won the 133-pound class with a technical fall, Lincoln Memorial's Kade Millsaps pinned Ernest Allen in just one minute at 141 pounds to increase the visitors' advantage to 12-5.
 
Newberry won the next seven matches, two by forfeit, taking the final 31 points of the dual.
 
The Railsplitters will head to Cumberland on Monday at 6 p.m. for their third dual of the season.
