@LMUmsoc Falls Short to Lenoir-Rhyne in SAC Championship

The Railsplitters competed for the SAC Championship against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, NC.  The Railsplitters fought hard with great effort all around but came up short with a final score of 1-0.
 
The first half was scoreless, with LMU only getting three shots in this half from Christian Hatley, Ronan O'Mahoney, and Peter Majer.  LRU out-shot LMU 11-3 in the first.  
 
The Bears got a goal just two minutes into the second half.  LMU would again just get three shots off this half as well from Harry Cooke, Hunter Stroble, and Kriton Kiousis.  Goalkeeper Alan Johnson had four saves facing five shots on goal. 
 
The Railsplitters had a great weekend in Charlotte, beating out #2 seed Coker, and #6 seed Limestone to find their way into the finals.  They finished their 2022 season with a record of (10-8-1, 6-4).
 
Notables:
Harry Cooke, Kriton Kiousis, and Ronan O'Mahoney were named to the all-tournament team.
