Harrogate, TN – Lincoln Memorial University athletics is beginning to wind down fall sports and start winter athletics.  Soccer, cross-country, and field hockey are in their SAC championships, with volleyball soon to follow.  Bowling is headed west to Texas.  Men's basketball starts up this week in a tournament in Lubbock, TX.  Golf will take a break after this week's tournament and start back up in February.  Wrestling opens their season this week on the road.
 
Women's Golf will be at the Music City Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, October 30-31.  The tournament will be held at the Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, TN, and is sponsored by Trevecca Nazarene.  The Railsplitters are coming off a first-place finish at the St. Simons Intercollegiate held in St. Simons, GA.  The women have finished in the top-ten in all four of their 2023 scheduled matches.

Women's Volleyball will be hosting Tusculum (15-6, 11-3) on Tuesday, October 31, at 7pm.  Tusculum defeated LMU in the first meeting last month, 3-0 and are coming off a loss to Emory & Henry last week.  The Lady Railsplitters will host Anderson on Friday, the 3^rd, for Senior Night at Mary Mars Gym.  The LMU women are 9-15 in matches this year and 3-11 in the South Atlantic Conference. 

Women's Bowling will head to Sam Houston State in Houston, TX for their second tournament of the season.  The women were in Valparaiso, IN October 27-29 for their first tournament, where they are currently 5th with one day to play.  First-year Head Coach Olivia Farwell picked up her first collegiate win on day one at Valpo!

Women's Soccer will be at Emory & Henry for a 5pm SAC match on Wednesday, November 1.  The Wasps are coming off a loss to Catawba and are 3-8-5 and 0-7-3 in conference play this year.  LMU's Women's soccer is 7-6-3 overall, and 3-4-3 in the South Atlantic Conference this season, coming off a 2-0 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne.  On Saturday, November 4^th, soccer will begin the South Atlantic Conference Championship quarterfinals at the higher seed location.

Men's Soccer will be at Emory & Henry (0-14, 0-10) on Wednesday, November 1, for a SAC match at 7:30pm.  Currently, the LMU men are 9-3-3 and 5-3-2, coming off a 1-0 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne.  The Railsplitters will begin their South Atlantic Conference Championship quarterfinals on Saturday at the higher seed location. 

Men's Basketball will open their regular season in Lubbock, TX playing in the D2CCATipOffClassic hosted by Lubbock Christian.  The men will play Lubbock Christian on Friday evening and play Illinois-Springfield on Saturday night.
 
Men's and Women's Cross-Country will compete in the NCAA Southeast Regionals on Saturday, the 4^th, in Oakwood, GA.  The women finished 5^th in the SAC Championships last weekend and the men took 5^th on their side.
 
Men's and Women's Wrestling will open their third season at the East Stroudsburg Open in East Stroudsburg, PA on Sunday, the 5^th.
