Harrogate, TN – Head Women's Volleyball Coach Chris Phillips has released the Lincoln Memorial University women's volleyball schedule for Fall 2023. It includes 28 regular season matches including 18 South Atlantic Conference (SAC) matches.
Coach Phillips will return for her second year with 13 returning players and five incoming freshmen.
LMU will begin the regular season on September 1st and 2nd at the Erskine College Tournament (Due West, SC) where they will face Clark Atlanta University, Lee University, and host Erskine College.
The Lady Railsplitters home opener will be on September 6th when they open South Atlantic Conference play against rival Carson-Newman University.
LMU will then head back on the road for the Chowan University Tournament (Chowan, NC) facing Elizabeth City State University, Shippensburg University, and host Chowan University on September 8th and 9th.
The Lady Railsplitters will return home to face SAC foe Mars Hill on September 12th taking on LMU Hall of Famer, Coach Mike Smith.
It will be back on the road for the Redderson Invitational (Greenwood, SC) tournament facing Conference Carolina's Tournament runner up from last season North Greenville University, Fayetteville State University, Barton College, and host Lander University on September 15th and 16th.
The Lady Railsplitters begin the remaining 16 matches against SAC opponents starting on September 19 when they host the newest member of the SAC, Emory & Henry College. The Lady Railsplitters will also play host to Limestone on September 22nd, Catawba on October 6th, Virginia Wise on October 10th, Tusculum on Halloween night, and Anderson on November 3rd for Senior Night.
LMU will face Wingate University at home on October 7th, and travel to Wingate on October 14th. The defending SAC Champion Bulldogs will be without their famed head coach Shelton Collier who retired at the end of last season as the winningest volleyball coach in SAC history.
The SAC championship tournament will have the quarterfinals at the higher seed's site on November 13, 2023. The championship semis and finals will be held at Rock Hill, SC. on November 15-16, 2023.
All LMU home matches and road SAC matches will be streamed again this year via FloSports, the official streaming service of the South Atlantic Conference.
