Harrogate, TN -- The Lincoln Memorial field hockey team will open its home schedule on Saturday against nationally ranked Mount Olive. The two teams met on September 6th, with the Trojans taking an emphatic 14-0 victory. Currently, Mount Olive is ranked 9th in the nation in division II with a 4-1 record, and is rated as the second-best team in the South Atlantic Conference (Newberry).
In two match ups all-time, Mount Olive has outscored the young Railsplitter program 11-0 and 14-0. Lincoln Memorial plays one of the toughest schedules in the SAC, with an SoS (strength of schedule) of .625, tied for the 8th toughest schedule in divison II field hockey.
Lincoln Memorial and Mount Olive will square off in Harrogate on Saturday, September 16, with the game slated to begin at 11:00 AM.
