Harrogate, TN - Just one day after seeing the first and longest winning streak in program history come to an end, the Lincoln Memorial field hockey team suffered its second straight defeat in as many days, falling 4-1 on the road at Newberry Thursday.
The Wolves jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first four minutes and never looked back. Maura Van De Plas added Lincoln Memorial's lone goal with about 10 minutes remaining before he half, but the Railsplitters failed to find any offense otherwise, falling to 3-11 with the loss.
Lincoln Memorial will be back in action on Saturday in its final game of the season on the road at Limestone.
