Lincoln Memorial University Athletic Training Department Welcomes Two New Athletic Trainers

Harrogate, TN — Lincoln Memorial University's Athletic Training Department is thrilled to announce the addition of two talented athletic trainers to its staff: Sara Branson and Kayla Jackson.

Sara Branson joins LMU from Missouri State University West Plains, where she served as the Director of Athletic Training and Wellness. In that role, she provided comprehensive athletic training services to all junior college sports teams. Originally from Lone Tree, Iowa, Sara holds a Master's degree in Athletic Training from Shenandoah University in Virginia and a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from William Penn University.

Kayla Jackson comes to LMU with experience working at William Penn University, where she provided athletic training services to NAIA athletes and collaborated with the Athletic Department on mental health referrals. Hailing from Akron, Ohio, Kayla earned her Master's degree in Sports Management from William Penn University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron.

Andy Shipley, Head Athletic Trainer at Lincoln Memorial University, shared her enthusiasm:
"The sports medicine department has recently added two new team members, and I couldn't be more excited to welcome both Kayla and Sara to the LMU family. Kayla comes to us from William Penn University and brings seven years of experience in the field. She will be taking over our women's basketball, cross country, and track and field programs. Sara, who was previously at Missouri State University West Plains, will be taking over our men's lacrosse, women's volleyball, and field hockey programs. I look forward to working with both Sara and Kayla, and I'm confident they will do great things for LMU!"

The LMU athletic training team, sports teams, and student-athletes are excited to welcome Sara and Kayla to the LMU family.
