Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial University inducted their latest class into the LMU ETA Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma on April 21st.
The Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society is a nonprofit organization that was established to recognize college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field/court of competition. The organization was founded in 1996 by then DePauw University head football coach Nick Mourouzis. His goal was to provide outstanding student-athletes with an opportunity to become connected within a fraternal association that aligns their educational and athletic successes for a lifetime.
The criteria to be a member of the Eta Chapter is to be a graduating senior in that calendar year with a 3.5 or higher grade point average. These are stricter than the national criteria, which allow juniors or seniors with a 3.4 or higher GPA.
The ceremony started with
Dr. Ahleasha McNeal, Associate Athletic Director for Complience, opening the event and then Dr. Jody Goins, Executive Vice President for Administration, delivered the keynote address. After the roll call of inductees by Assisant Athletic Director for Communications

Alicia Bevins from women's soccer. This year's class had a combined 3.78 grade point average.
