GAINESVILLE, GA - The Lincoln Memorial Women's Golf team finished up the NCAA Division II South Regional Championship. This was the first time the LMU Women's Golf team has played in the NCAA South Regional Championship. The Lady Railsplitters finished in 14th place at (+44) 305-306-297-908.
In first place for the Regional Championship was Flagler University at (+7) 871. Finishing in second place was Nova Southeastern at (+14) 878. Rounding out the top three was Anderson University at (+24) 888.
Leading the Splitters in the regional championship was Dilyara Bulambayeva. Bulambayeva had a great first showing at the tournament, turning in a score card of (+6) 72-77-73-222, and finishing in T18 place. Joy Aspetaki would finish in T61 with a final score of (+13) 79-74-76-229. Following behind her was Sloane Siebert in T66 place. Siebert finished with a score of (+14) 78-78-74-230. Millie Russell landed herself in T69 at (+15) 76-77-78-231. Rounding out the lineup was Rachel Mathieson in T76 at (+16) 79-79-74-232.
The LMU Women's Golf team has had a phenomenal season where they broke several school records. This includes making an appearance in the NCAA DII South Regional Championship and ranking the highest ever in LMU history of 22nd in the nation.
