Gainesville, Ga – The Lincoln Memorial University Men's Golf team wrapped up play at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate, hosted at Chattahoochee Golf Club. The Railsplitters finished 11th overall with a score of (+18), 302–285–295–882.
Taking first place at the Intercollegiate was Lander University, posting an (–10) 289–282–283–854. The runner-up was North Georgia with an 857 (–7), while Georgia Southwestern secured third place at 859 (–5).
LMU was led by Morgan Cain, a returning standout and GCAA PING All-America Honorable Mention selection, who captured individual medalist honors. Cain fired rounds of 73–68–68 to finish at 209 (–7) and went on to win a playoff with a par on the first hole, securing the title.
Dylan Hussey finished tied for 27th with a score of (+2) 73–74–71–218, while Oliver Ulmo tied for 59th at (+11) 78–70–79–227. Ryan Gavin placed tied for 68th at (+13) 78–73–78–229, and Cameron Grabeel rounded out the lineup in 80th place at (+21) 79–80–78–237.
Competing individually, Harry Dickins turned in a strong showing with rounds of 70–75–71, finishing at 216 (E) to tie for 19th place.
The Railsplitters will return to action September 22–23 at the Hurricane Invitational in Albany, Ga., hosted at Doublegate Country Club.
