PENSACOLA, FL - The No. 14 Lincoln Memorial University men's golf team closed the regular season March 30–31 with a ninth-place finish at the Argonaut Intercollegiate, hosted by No. 1 West Florida at Pensacola Country Club. Competing against one of the deepest fields of the spring, the Railsplitters posted a three-round total of 872 (+8) with rounds of 297–292–283 to earn a top-10 result heading into the postseason.
Lincoln Memorial saved its best golf for the final round, firing a 283 (–5) on Tuesday to climb the leaderboard and finish strong against a field loaded with nationally ranked programs. West Florida captured the team title at 839 (–25), with No. 3 Lee close behind at 842 (–22). St. Mary's (TX) and No. 4 Florida Southern tied for third at 848 (–16), rounding out a leaderboard that featured multiple teams inside the national top 15.
Individually, LMU was paced by Edward Mason, who tied for 23rd at 216 (E) with rounds of 73–75–68. Morgan Cain followed by tying for 30th at 218 (+2) (73–74–71), while Ryan Gavin also finished in the top half of the field in a tie for 34th at 219 (+3) (75–72–72). Freshman Harry Dickins added another solid week with a tie for 38th at 220 (+4) (76–71–73), and Wyatt Cochran rounded out the scoring five at 231 (+15) (83–76–72).
With the regular season complete, Lincoln Memorial now turns its focus to the South Atlantic Conference Championship, set for April 19–21 at The Preserve at Verdae Golf Club in Greenville, S.C.
