Hickory, N.C. - In the final game of the regular season, the 24th-ranked Lincoln Memorial men's tennis team fell to Lenoir-Rhyne 4-1 on Saturday. The loss dropped the Railsplitters to 14-9 this season while finishing the year 8-3 in conference play. 

LMU picked up their point thanks to Victor Bourguignon, who netted a straight sets sweep from the fifth singles position. Bourguignon found himself down early in the opening set, trailing his opponent 3-1 after the first few points. But Bourguignon rallied back, scoring the final five unanswered to take the opening set 6-3. 

Bourguignon would find himself in a similar hole to start the second set, trailing 3-0 before he could get himself on the board. Bourguignon would come close to repeating the opening set, holding a 5-3 lead before eventually taking the set 6-4. 

The Railsplitters also saw set wins from Radu Florea, Jakub Hrasek, and Sergio Sebastian Aranzeta Boneta, as LMU forced three matches into a winner-take-all third set.  

The Railsplitters will next play on Thursday, April 16th in the South Atlantic Conference tournament set to be hosted in Sumter, South Carolina.
