Columbus, GA – In their final game of their spring break trip, the Lincoln Memorial Women's Tennis team was unable to overcome the No. 18 Columbus State Cougars, dropping the game 7-0. The loss sends the Railsplitters to 9-10 this season.
Lincoln Memorial dropped the doubles point, but the pairing of Rosalie Carrier-Dulac and Lucie Palud were able to force a 4-4 draw from the third doubles position.
In singles play, despite falling 6-0, the Splitters saw some fierce competition from Mia Rodriguez and Alexandra Ortiz, as the two were both able to force a set to extra points, making Columbus State work late into the night with 6-7 defeats. Mar Garcia Bucosa also forced a seventh point from her opponent in the sixth singles set.
LMU will return home after some rest on Tuesday, finishing off the home schedule by hosting UVA Wise in a conference match in their home finale.
