Harrogate, TN – Following a convincing win at home on Tuesday, the Lincoln Memorial men's tennis team heads on the road to take on conference rival Carson-Newman on Thursday.
The Railsplitters took all four points from Virginia-Wise in their last game, defeating the Cavaliers 4-0 to enter their match in Jefferson City at 13-8 and 7-2 in the South Atlantic Conference while finishing the season 10-2 in home contests.
In singles play, Victor Bourguignon has helped to lead the team along with Kai Miyatake and Alexandru Rares Giurea, as all three now hold at least 10 wins on the season, with Bourguignon leading the way with 12 wins in singles play.
Radu Florea and Ethan Hirons have dominated the doubles court, going 12-4 together while Bourguignon and Sergio Sebastian Aranzeta Boneta have collected eight wins as a duo this season.
Carson-Newman is looking for some kind of late season spark, as the Eagles welcome the Splitters with an overall record of 5-14, having gone 3-6 in conference play following a win over Mars Hill on the road yesterday.
