Talon comes to LMU after playing at a high level at Furman University, where he received the university's Outstanding Athletic Leader Award in 2011.

After graduating in the Spring of 2011, he began serving as assistant boys varsity soccer coach at Wade Hampton High School in Greenville. The next year he moved across town to take over as the head boy's varsity soccer coach at J.L. Mann High School.

During his stint as Mann's head coach over the next two seasons his team achieved an impressive 42-4-1 overall record (26-0 in conference), winning the SCHSL 4A state title and achieved an ESPN Powerade #6 national ranking.  

Now in his second season with LMU, Talon will serve in several capacities including on the field coaching and strength training with the Railsplitters.
