Lincoln Memorial University Athletics

2023-2024 (Senior): Anchor leg of the DMR which finished runner-up at the SAC Championships. Also a member of the school record DMR team, a record set at Vanderbilt earlier in the season. Took over the school record in the steeplechase, capped off by an 8th place finish at the outdoor cahmpionships. 

2022-2023 (Junior): Achieved 3rd place finish in 4x400 with time of 3:34.02 at the Margaret Simmons Invite 23 (3/24/23-3/25/23)...Personal collegiate best time of 15:25.76 in the 5000 at the EKU Rick Erdmann Twilight (4/21/23-4/22/23).

2021-2022 (Sophomore): Personal collegiate best in the 5k with a time of 16:56.9 at the Tusculum Open (9/3/21)...Finished 2nd at Roanoke Invitational Challenge in DMR with a time of 11:02.44 (2/12/22)...Personal collegiate best time of 2:03.65 in the Lee Invitational (3/19/22)...3rd place finish in the 5000 at the Pepsi Cumberlands Invitational and Distance Carnival (4/8/22-4/9/22).

2020-2021 (Freshman): Finished 3rd in collegiate debut during the mile at the Roanoke DI/DII Invitational Challenge with a time of 4:34.68 (1/29/21)...Achieved personal collegiate best in 3000 with 9:01.92 at Brant Tolsma Invite 2021 (2/5/21).

Prior to LMU: Graduated from Hoërskool Linden in Johannesburg, South Africa ... Two time qualifier for cross country nationals and one time qualifier for track and field nationals ... Was the student body president in 2019.

Personal: Son of Pieter and Marelize Engelbrecht...Has two younger siblings, Sancia and Jarik...Enjoys singing and playing music, being outdoors, and reading.
