Caitlyn Corace is beginning her sixth season as the only women’s lacrosse coach in the history of Lincoln Memorial University. In her five seasons leading the Lady Railsplitters, Corace has racked up all 30 wins in program history.

The 2019 season was by far the best in program history, as the Lady Railsplitters finished the regular season with a 12-6 overall record and a 5-3 South Atlantic Conference mark. LMU also won its first SAC Tournament game, defeating Coker in the quarterfinals before losing to Lenoir-Rhyne in the semi-final contest.

The Lady Railsplitters had six players earn All-SAC accolades following the 2019 campaign, with Zoe Zervos becoming the first player in program history to earn first-team accolades two years in a row.  Erin DePaul earned second team honors while Casey Kelly, Amara Moss, Kelly Csenar and Riannon Beddington were named to the Honorable Mention team.

The 2019 season saw the program establish records for total number of wins (12) and conference wins (5).  The team also set program records for total points (329), points per game (18.2), goals (230), goals per game (12.7), assists (99) and goals against (10).

Prior to her arrival at LMU, Corace was an assistant coach for the Defiance College Yellow Jackets during the 2014 season, the school’s first year of varsity status in Division III. While at Defiance, Corace was responsible for player development, recruiting, budgeting, practice and pregame planning, along with game planning and working with the team’s defense and goalies.

Before her stint at Defiance, Corace was the assistant coach at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y. While there, she assisted the head coach in all facets of the game, mostly focusing on the team’s attack unit. In her one year at Mount Saint Mary, the team won a program-best 10 games in 2013, averaging 12.11 goals per game. The Knights went 6-4 in conference play, qualifying for a playoff spot and making it to the Skyline Conference Tournament quarterfinals in just its fourth year as a varsity program.

Corace is a member of the Division II All-American Committee that evaluates and chooses the IWLCA South All-Region and All-American teams. During the summer of 2014, she was a head coach for the Yellow Jackets North club team, working with the 2016 team at recruiting tournaments and practices. She also coached at the Maverick Showtime Lacrosse Camp, comprised of the top 150 high school lacrosse players in the 2015 and 2016 classes in Danbury, CT.

A 2012 graduate of Keene State College in Keene, N.H., Corace led the Owls to three Little East Conference Championships, the 2010 ECAC Championship, and three NCAA tournament bids, finishing her career ranked fourth in program history with 143 goals. She also dished out 27 assists for 170 career points. In the summer of 2012, Corace was selected to represent the United States as part of the USAAI lacrosse team in Scotland, competing against the Scotland U-19 and Senior National teams.
