HARROGATE, Tenn. -- The start of the Lincoln Memorial University men's soccer match against Hiwassee was delayed by nearby lightning strikes immediately following pre-game introductions, and the weather quickly worsened during that 30-minute delay as the Railsplitters were forced to cancel their nonconference match versus the Tigers. The two teams will not attempt to reschedule that contest.
Â
The 28th-ranked Railsplitters (6-0-1) now prepare for a South Atlantic Conference battle against the 16th-ranked Wingate Bulldogs, set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday at the LMU Soccer Complex.
