SALISBURY, N.C. – Lincoln Memorial University concluded its 2016 campaign Friday with a 0-0 draw in double overtime at South Atlantic Conference rival Catawba. The Lady Railsplitters (3-10-2, 2-7-2 SAC) held strong defensively against the Indians (6-7-3, 5-4-2 SAC) but couldn't put much of an attack together on the other end. They finish the year 10

Kathryn Lundy (Pinckney, Mich.) finished her college career with her first shutout of the season and fourth of her career. Lundy played every minute of the team's final seven matches—including nine overtime periods— and had an 85.1% save percentage over the span. She allowed one goal or fewer in six of those contests.

The Lady Railsplitters caught a break in the 51

Lundy made a game-saving save in the 58th minute to stop an Erin Feldman header off a cross. Jenny Lux also nearly ended the game in the 89
th minute, but her shot hit the post.
For the fifth time in their final six games, the Lady Railsplitters went to overtime. Four of those, including this game, also required double overtime.
Lincoln Memorial's best scoring chance came three minutes into the first overtime period when
Hanna Ratliff (Somerset, Ky.) fired off a shot. Catawba keeper Shannon Hardy knocked the ball over the crossbar, and the Lady Railsplitters could not capitalize on the resulting corner kick.
Catawba finished the match with a 15-10 lead in shots but only held a 7-6 shots on goal advantage. They also attempted seven corner kicks to Lincoln Memorial's four.
