HARROGATE, Tenn. -- The 23rd-ranked Railsplitters (6-2, 2-1 SAC) will play their third game in five days on Monday night when they welcome the Brevard Tornados (1-6, 0-2 SAC) to Tex Turner Arena for a South Atlantic Conference showdown beginning at 8 p.m.
Â
Lincoln Memorial captured its third straight 40-point victory on Saturday with a 115-74 bashing of the Coker Cobras in Harrogate. A 15-0 first-half run turned a two-point game into a 17-point game, and then the Railsplitters outscored the Cobras 55-32 in the second half to power the landslide victory.
Â
It marks the first time in program history that Lincoln Memorial has won three consecutive games by at least 40 points. The closest parallel was during the 2011-12 campaign when the Railsplitters crushed OSU-Mansfield and Hiwassee by more than 40 points after beating Lees-McRae by 32 points.
Â
As it has throughout the season, an immense size advantage helped Lincoln Memorial get whatever it wanted on offense against the Cobras. The Railsplitters shot 62 percent from the field, including a nearly 70 percent clip (25-for-36) in the first half. Lincoln Memorial also outscored Coker by a ridiculous 78-28 margin in the paint.
Â
Emanuel Terry (Enterprise, Ala.) tallied double figures for the third time in the past four games by pouring in a game-high 19 points on 9-for-13 shooting. He also chipped in eight rebounds and two blocks, bringing his season total to 19.
Chris Perry (Bartow, Fla.) also had an outstanding game with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting to go along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Â
The Railsplitters, who have scored at least 100 points in three of their last four games, are averaging 105 points per game in South Atlantic Conference play. Lincoln Memorial has done that despite accounting for just 9.3 three-pointers per game, the fourth-most in the league. The Railsplitters are shooting an absurd 57.1 percent against SAC opponents with a 45.9 percent clip from three.
Â
After being outrebounded by 16 against Alabama-Huntsville and three at Carson-Newman, the Railsplitters have destroyed their last three opponents on the backboards. Lincoln Memorial outrebounded both Virginia-Wise and Coker by 27 while posting a 46-35 rebounding edge against Lenoir-Rhyne.
Â
Monday's game against Brevard is the third and final game of a three-game homestand which started on Wednesday against Lenoir-Rhyne. Brevard is on that same schedule as the Tornados defeated Warren Wilson 84-78 last Wednesday to pick up their first win of the season before falling 69-58 at Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday.
Â
Brevard - in its final season in the NCAA Division II - started off the season with five consecutive losses. Four of those five defeats were decided by at least 13 points aside from an 86-83 loss to Tusculum in the SAC opener.
Â
Offense has been hard to come by for the Tornados, who are ranked last in the SAC in points per game (67.3) and field goals made per game (23.9) while ranking 10th in the league in field-goal percentage with a 42 percent clip. In addition to that, Brevard is not a very good three-point shooting (33.3 percent) or free-throw shooting (64.6 percent) team.
Â
To make matters worse, the Tornados have struggled mightily on defense and with rebounding. Brevard ranks last in the SAC in rebounds per game (31.1) and eighth in rebounding margin (-2.0). Defensively, the Tornados are allowing 78.1 points per game on 44.7 percent shooting and a 36.6 percent mark from deep.
Â
The Tornados are led by Stevie Williams, who is putting up 19.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game on 50.5 percent shooting. Evan Dunham is also averaging double figures with 14 points per game on 59 percent shooting. Omar El Diraoui is chipping in 10.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game but is shooting just 41.4 percent from the field, while Shelby Parris is adding 7.6 points per game.
Â
The Railsplitters are 18-3 all-time against Brevard and have won 11 straight games in the series dating back to January 2012. Lincoln Memorial is a perfect 11-0 all-time against the Tornados at Tex Turner Arena.
Â
In last season's home game against Brevard, the Railsplitters cruised to an 88-55 victory. Lincoln Memorial led by just 11 points at the half, but outscored the Tornados 52-30 in the second half to power the 33-point triumph. Terry had 14 points and seven rebounds, while
Dorian Pinson (Greenville, S.C.) put up 10 points and five points in 22 minutes of work.
Â
The Railsplitters and Tornados tip off at 8 p.m. on Monday night inside of Tex Turner Arena. Live stats, video and audio links are available at www.LMURailsplitters.com.Â

Five things to watch for against Brevard
1. Following Monday's game, the Railsplitters won't play again until they travel to Wingate on December 14, a much-needed break after playing four game since last Saturday.
2. Brevard has been turnover prone this season, averaging 17.1 turnovers per game. That is the third-most in the SAC. However, the Tornados are averaging just 11.5 turnovers per game against league opponents.
3. In their loss at Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday, the Tornados scored just 17 points and went 5-for-22 from the field in the first half. Brevard outscored the Bears in the second half but it wasn't enough to overcome that 14-point deficit.
4. Perry has scored double figures in all but one of his eight appearances this season. The University of South Florida transfer is shooting 61.8 percent from the field and averaging 6.8 rebounds per game.
5. Unless the two teams meet against at Tex Turner Arena in the SAC Tournament, this will be the Railsplitters' last home game against Brevard, as the Tornados are leaving the SAC to go to the NCAA Division III after this season.Â
