HARROGATE, Tenn. -- Behind two solid performances on the mound and a relentless offensive attack, the Railsplitters (4-2) swept a doubleheader from the Ohio Valley Fighting Scots (0-5) in the Lamar Hennon Field opener on Thursday evening. Lincoln Memorial compiled 20 hits and cruised to a 16-1 victory in game one before continuing the hit parade in a 19-0 thumping in game two.

The Railsplitters improved to 19-5 all-time against Ohio Valley with the doubleheader sweep and pushed their winning streak to three in their first appearance back on the diamond since an 18-5 beatdown of Claflin on February 8.

Lincoln Memorial continues its lengthy homestand by hosting a three-game series against the Tiffin Dragons this weekend, beginning with a doubleheader on Friday with first pitch set for 3 p.m.

Game One: Lincoln Memorial 16, Ohio Valley 1 Â
All nine LMU starters accounted for at least one hit, as the Railsplitters scored in every inning and put up 20 hits as a unit to power the victory. The 20 hits were the most for the program in a single game since Lincoln Memorial also racked up 20 hits in a win at Brevard on March 23, 2013.

Senior right-hander
Zac Butler (Blue Springs, Mo.) was the beneficiary of all of that run support, improving to 2-0 on the season after striking out six and allowing just one earned run on seven hits over six innings. Freshman reliever
Pete Pratti (Knoxville, Tenn.) closed the door by sitting the Fighting Scots down in order in the top of the seventh.

Wes Neiderland (Thompson Station, Tenn.) went 3-for-5 at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored, while
Russell Clark (Wexford, Pa.) also recorded three singles with two runs scored and an RBI. Out of the one and two hole,
Seth Hunt (Knoxville, Tenn.) was 2-for-5 with an RBI and
Jean Rodriguez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) tallied two hits, two RBI and two runs scored.
Eric Kalman (Brooklyn, N.Y.) also finished 2-for-5 with two RBI.
Peyton Sawyer (Knoxville, Tenn.) notched two singles and an RBI.
Danny Valdez (Orlando, Fla.) drove in two runs and scored twice on two hits.Â

The Railsplitters tallied at least one run in every inning, highlighted by a four-run outburst in the bottom of the second and a five-run flurry in the bottom of the fifth. Sawyer, Valdez, Hunt and Rodriguez each accounted for an RBI apiece in the second frame, while Rodriguez, Kalman, Neiderland, Clark and Valdez posted RBI singles in the fifth frame.

H.D. Dillard (Woodstock, Ga.) led the Railsplitters with three RBI, plating a run with a sacrifice fly out in the bottom of the third and sending two more home with a two-run double off of the wall in left centerfield.

The Fighting Scots scored their only run of the game in the top of the fifth, when Ian Sullinger ended Butler's bid for a shutout by hitting a solo home run over the left field wall.

Jake Carr was responsible for three of Ohio Valley's seven hits as a team, collecting three singles. Matthew Carey was saddled with the loss for the Fighting Scots after serving up nine earned runs and 10 hits over 3 2/3 innings of work.

Game Two: Lincoln Memorial 19, Ohio Valley 0 Â
The Railsplitters' bats were back at it early and often in game two, as Lincoln Memorial raced out to a 15-0 lead after three innings before taking the foot off of the gas late. The Railsplitters piled up 15 hits and scored five unearned runs off of three outfield errors.

Hunt was 2-for-5 with three RBI and a double out of the lead-off spot, while Rodriguez also drove in three runs on two hits with a double.
Logan Augustine (Urbandale, Iowa) went 2-for-4 and hit his first home run of the season, while Kalman registered two hits and two RBI. Neiderland was 2-for-4 with a triple, a double and four runs scored. Sawyer drove in three runs, while Dillard built upon a strong showing in game one with a double, a single, two RBI and three runs scored.

Timmy Wages (Moline, Ill.) threw a complete-game shutout for the Railsplitters, allowing just six hits and striking out six without a walk over seven innings of work. The junior right-hander moved to 1-0 on the season with the victory.

The Railsplitters batted around in both the first and second innings, scoring four in the opening frame and seven in the second. Kalman and Sawyer paced the scoring in the first inning with a pair of two-run singles, while Dillard drove in two with a single in the second and Rodriguez capped that scoring barrage with a three-run double. Augustine kicked off the scoring in the second stanza with a towering solo home run down the right-field line.

Back-to-back dropped fly balls allowed the Railsplitters to score three more runs in the bottom of the third inning, while a run-scoring double by Hunt put Lincoln Memorial ahead 15-0 that same inning.

The Railsplitters added four more runs over the final four innings to complete the doubleheader sweep.

Andrew Morales went 3-for-3 at the dish for Ohio Valley with a triple and a double. Robbie Harper took the loss after giving up nine earned runs with seven hits and four walks in 1 1/3 innings of action.
