HARROGATE, Tenn. – It's a big weekend at the LMU Tennis Complex as the LMU men's tennis team will host their home South Atlantic Conference opener on Saturday and local rival UVa-Wise Sunday morning.
LMU comes into the weekend with a 4-1 record, which is their best start since the 2012-13 season. Their lone loss was at NCAA Division I Eastern Kentucky last Sunday.
In singles play,
Pepe Batalla (Barcelona, Spain) and
David Segarra (Sabadell, Spain) enter the weekend with 5-0 records. Zavier Marti (Tortosa, Spain) and
Joshua Peress (Montreal, Quebec) both have 4-1 records while Mortiz Hoerner (Erlangen, Germany) has a 3-2 record.
The duo of Batalla and Segarra have a 4-1 record at doubles, as does
Jake Tuchmann (Kennesaw, Ga.) and
Carlos Zunino (Samborondón, Ecuador).
