Quick Hits:

-The Railsplitters held a 2-1 lead after winning set two 26-24 and set three 25-23, but Mount Olive rallied with 25-20 and 15-11 victories in the next two frames to defeat Lincoln Memorial in five sets on Sunday at Mary Mars Gym. The Railsplitters produced 62 kills on a .236 hitting percentage, but had 20 service errors and 28 attack miscues to snap a season-long three-game winning streak.

-Junior outside hitter Joshua Riblett (Torrence, Calif.) had a program-record 26 kills on 53 attempts against Mount Olive, recording the eighth-most kills by any men's volleyball player in the country in a five-set match this season. Riblett obliterated the program's single-match record for kills, which he established with 18 against both St. Andrews and Campbellsville.

-Freshman middle Pedro Carvalho (Sao Paulo, Brazil) had a career-high 16 kills against Mount Olive to record his fourth consecutive double-digit kill performance. Carvalho is leading the Railsplitters with a .341 attack percentage and has hit over .350 in five straight matches.

-If the Railsplitters win on Tuesday, they will complete the home stand with a 4-2 record, with their only losses coming against Conference Carolinas foes King and Mount Olive. Lincoln Memorial is 5-2 at Mary Mars Gymnasium this season as compared to 1-6 on the road and 0-2 in neutral-site contests.

-The Railsplitters have struggled in the second set of matches this season. Lincoln Memorial closed on a 7-0 run to take set two from Mount Olive on Sunday, but that was only the fourth second-set win for the Railsplitters. By comparison, LMU has won the first set six times and the third set seven times.

-Ryan Iskandar (Tempe, Ariz.) needs one assist to reach 500 for the season. The freshman setter is averaging 8.05 assists per set to go along with 50 kills, 84 digs and 26 blocks.

-The Railsplitters blasted Bluefield in three sets in the first meeting this season on January 25, winning by scores of 25-6, 25-11 and 25-13. Lincoln Memorial amassed 33 kills on a program-record .435 attack percentage, while the Rams could muster just 10 kills on a .053 clip. Carvalho led LMU with 11 kills.

Notes on Bluefield:

-The Rams are not only looking for their first win of the 2017 season, but they will also be trying to win just their second set of the year. Bluefield has been beaten in straight sets in all but one of its 11 matches, as the Rams took set one off of Milligan on February 13.

-Bluefield most recently suffered a 3-0 loss to Warner University. The Rams failed to score more than 10 points in any of the three sets to lose their 12th straight match dating back to last season.

-Lesharo Clark led Bluefield in the first meeting against LMU, tallying four kills on 16 attempts with seven digs. Andre Cardamone had three kills on a team-high 18 attempts, while Aireon Leary was the only other Ram with more than a single kill, producing two on 10 tries.

-In stark contrast to Mount Olive, who has 11 players listed at 6-4 or taller, Bluefield's roster features only one guy that's taller than 6-1. That's 6-6 middle blocker Jonathan Amaral, who has had minimal involvement in the Rams' season thus far.
