HARROGATE, Tenn. – The LMU women's lacrosse team opens South Atlantic Conference play as they travel to Newberry for a Saturday meeting with the Wolves.
There will be no live stats or video streaming of the contest.
LMU (0-2) is in search of their first win of the season after opening the 2017 campaign with losses at Shorter and Alabama-Huntsville.
When the two teams last met, LMU went out to a 9-6 lead only to see Newberry score four unanswered goals to pull out the 10-9 win in Harrogate.
This season the Lady Railsplitters are scoring off of more shots on goal than their opponent by an 81.6%-to-74.2% margin.
Amara Moss () leads the team in scoring with four goals on the season.
Jasmin Click (Clermont, Fla.) and
Kennedy Buechner (Stafford, Va.) have three apiece,
Casey Kelly (Ellenwood, Ga.) has two goals and Heather Roche (Vero Beach, Fla.) and
Zoe Zervos (Ithaca, N.Y.) each have a goal. Goalie
Shannon Novak (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) has a 37.0 save percentage and a 14.5 goals against average.
After Saturday's match the Lady Railsplitters will face Ursuline in the home opener on March 6.
