HARROGATE, Tenn. – The LMU women's lacrosse team faces their toughest test yet this year as they host ninth-ranked Queens Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
The Lady Railsplitters are currently 3-6 and 1-3 in South Atlantic Conference play after a 13-7 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne Wednesday. The Royals come in with a 6-2 record and they are 2-0 in SAC play.
LMU is led by
Casey Kelly's 22 goals, nine assists, 22 ground balls and 21 draw controls.
Jasmin Click has 19 goals, four assists, 16 ground balls and 17 draws.
Zoe Zervos has scored 14 goals, has four assists and 15 ground balls while
Heather Roache has 14 goals and 15 ground balls.
Kennedy Buechner has 12 goals and 16 ground balls. Goalie
Shannon Novak has 96 saves on the season and has given up 111 goals. She ranks fifth in the SAC in save percentage.
As a team, LMU ranks second in the SAC in saves, third in shots, ground balls, caused turnovers and goals per game and fourth in goals.
Queens is led by Alexandra Bruder's 15 goals. Kelly Dowd has 14 goals, seven assists, 29 ground balls and 27 draws won while Hanna Scott has 11 goals and nine assists. Chase Brokaw has 52 saves and allowed 45 goals. She leads the SAC in fewest goals allowed and goals against average.
The Royals lead the SAC in fewest goals allowed and goals against average and are third in save percentage.
After this game the Lady Railsplitters will host Tusculum next Wednesday at 1 p.m.
