However, Carson-Newman was undone by a plethora of errors, as the home team combined for 37 miscues, including nine service errors and seven ball-handling errors.

The Lady Railsplitters spread the wealth in the opening set with five different players producing multiple kills in a 25-21 victory. Nartker and Gill led the way with three apiece. The set was tied six different times, but LMU took the lead for good with a 5-1 run that made it 14-11. The Lady Railsplitters steadily increased their lead after that, pulling in front 20-16 on a kill from Wesemann. Carson-Newman was never able to cut the deficit to less than three down the closing stretch, while Nartker closed out the set with a kill.
Lincoln Memorial managed only eight kills on a .040 attack percentage in the second set, but five Carson-Newman service errors helped the Lady Railsplitters take a 2-0 lead in the match with a 25-22 victory. After falling behind 3-2, Lincoln Memorial pulled ahead with a 3-0 run and never trailed again. A 5-0 run aided by two aces from Nartker pushed the Lady Railsplitters out to a commanding 20-12 lead. Carson-Newman later chopped the deficit down to 22-18, but an ill-timed service error swung the momentum back in the LMU's favor. The Eagles again closed the gap down to two at 24-22 before a solo block from Gill wrapped up the set.
The Lady Railsplitters saved their best for last offensively, racking up a match-high 14 kills on a .333 attack percentage to win set three 25-22. Lincoln Memorial found itself trailing 7-5 early, but a 5-1 run gave the visitors the lead for good. The Eagles stayed within striking distance and cut the LMU lead to 18-17 before back-to-back setting errors sparked a 4-1 run that made it 22-18. C-N later whittled the deficit to 23-22, but kills from Ged and Storms thwarted any comeback bid.
The win pushes Lincoln Memorial to 39-19 all-time against Carson-Newman. The Lady Railsplitters also beat the Eagles for the fifth time in the last six tries.
Lincoln Memorial closes out the regular season this weekend with a road trip to face Coker on Friday and Wingate on Saturday.
