HARROGATE, Tenn. – The LMU tennis teams will leave the warm and dry confines of the Indoor Tennis Facility for the first time in 2018 as they travel to play at Young Harris Tuesday afternoon.

The teams last played on Feb. 11 against Union. The women beat the Bulldogs 6-3 while the men lost 6-3.

The women's team is currently 5-1 on the season. They are led by Julia Valls, who was recently recognized as the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week. The Barcelona native is currently 6-0 on the season in singles play and 4-2 in doubles. Julia Loos, Julia Zellner and Angelica Solano all are 5-1 in singles play thus far this season. Solano, who is currently tied for ninth in career singles wins, is also 4-2 in doubles as she is partners with Valls. Preseason All-SAC player and 35th-ranked Marta Pinol is 3-1 but has missed the last few matches due to injury.

Young Harris' women are currently 2-1 on the season with wins over Carson-Newman and North Greenville. They are also ranked eighth in the latest ITA Southeast Region rankings. Their lone loss was a 5-4 decision at Lenoir-Rhyne that went down to the #6 flight to determine the winner. Elin Rundcrantz and Laura Sanchez are both 3-0 on the season in singles for the Mountain Lions.

The LMU men enter the match with a 3-2 record. Constantin Ernstberger is 5-0 in singles play on the season, while Joshua Peress is 4-1. Peress, who is currently second in all-time singles wins in LMU history, is also 4-1 in doubles with partner Xavier Marti.

The Mountain Lion men are 4-0 on the season with wins over C-N, NGU, Belmont Abbey, and King. Tim Fleerkamp, Guilherme Sergio and Javier Villar are all 4-0 on the season. They also have three undefeated doubles pairs as well.

Following Tuesday's matches, LMU will host Martin Methodist this Saturday.
