BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Lady Railsplitter tennis team stormed past King to pick up their 11
th win of the season by a 9-0 margin Tuesday afternoon.
LMU improves to 11-6 overall on the season while the Tornado fall to 0-15.
King only took three four points off of LMU for the entire match.
In doubles, LMU took all three flights by 8-0 margins.
Julia Loos and
Johanna Delisse took the first win, their eighth of the season, at no.1; followed by Marta Pinola and
Angelica Solano at no. 1; and
Kristin Vogel and
Julia Valls picked up their sixth win of the year at no. 3.
Pinol (no. 2) and Loos (no. 3) then put LMU ahead 5-0 as they won both of their flights by 6-0, 6-0 margins. At the no. 1 flight, Vogel defeated Vanessa Francois 6-0, 6-3 to give LMU the match win.
The rest of the match was played under pro set rules, with Valls winning 8-1 at no. 4, Solano winning 8-0 at no. 5 and
Julia Zellner winning 8-0 at no. 6.
LMU will return to SAC play tomorrow afternoon at Mars Hill.
