HARROGATE, Tenn. – The LMU women's lacrosse team steps out of conference play for the final time this season as they host Shorter Tuesday afternoon.
LMU enters with a 5-5 overall record following the 11-9 loss at Wingate on Saturday. A win on Tuesday would tie the program record for wins that was set last year.
The Hawks are currently 0-6 on the season. Their closest loss was by nine points twice, to Palm Beach Atlantic and to Lee. They are led by Aubrey Geiger's 14 goals, while McKinley Puckett has 11. Allie Perry leads the team with three assists and 19 draws won. Tayler Ferqueron leads the team with 17 ground balls and goalie Peyton Reid has 62 saves while allowing 128 goals.
LMU is led by
Amara Moss' 29 goals.
Casey Kelly has scored 28 goals, 12 assists, won 55 draws, and has 40 points.
Kennedy Buechner has 27 goals while
Erin DePaul has 23 goals.
Zoe Zervos leads the team with 32 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers.
Shannon Novak is among the SAC leaders in goalie statistics as she ranks first in save percentage (51.2%), third in goals against (82), and wins (4), and fourth in goals against average (12.62).
Micayla Starnes has 30 saves and an 11.43 GAA. She leads the SAC in goals against (40), ranks second in goals against average (11.43) and is third in the SAC in save percentage (42.9).
As a team, the Lady Railsplitters lead the SAC in shooting percentage (49.0%) and are second in shots on goal percentage (81.5), goals per game (12.70), goals against (122), and save percentage (48.7%).
The Lady Railsplitters will travel to Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday and return home for a two game home stand starting with Tusculum on April 11.
